Shop owners in India’s capital have issued an ultimatum to government leaders to get them back in business. Street market traders in New Delhi have gone on strike in support of protests against a court decision to close shops, to make way for redevelopment.
The legal ruling is likely to lose votes for India’s ruling party because the traders are traditional supporters.
