After centuries of living on their ancestral land, rising river levels have forced a group of indigenous Alaskans to abandon their homes.
Climate change has triggered stronger storms causing the land to crumble away.

Al Jazeera’s Heidi Zhou-Castro travelled to the town of Newtok to learn of the financial and emotional toll of finding a new place to live.
