Religious leaders in Pakistan have successfully pressured the government to lift coronavirus-fighting lockdown measures on mosques which had been in place ahead of Ramadan. As the Islamic fasting month started on April 24, 2020, Muslims were being allowed to again visit mosques for prayers. Doctors in the country have voiced concerns about the spread of Covid-19 in mosques, and urged the authorities to restore restrictions that had been in place since late March.*This video has been updated to correct the start date of the curfew in Pakistan.
