Singapore’s governing party has won Friday’s general election but with a reduced majority and a lower share of the vote.
The opposition party secured its best-ever result.
The vote was largely seen as a referendum on Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong’s handling of the coronavirus pandemic and a looming economic crisis.
Al Jazeera’s Priyanka Gupta reports.
