Around 600 refugees and migrants have arrived in the Spanish city of Valencia, a week after Italy and Malta refused to accept them. They were stranded at sea on board the Aquarius NGO rescue vessel for more than a week until Spain agreed to take them in. Their plight sparked an international outcry and calls for reform of EU policy on migrants.
