NZ Free Speech Union Chief Executive Jonathan Ayling says the introduction of language compliance officers through the newly passed ‘plain language legislation’ by the New Zealand government is “quite Orwellian”.
“I do have to wonder at the self-awareness of the people that draft this legislation,” Mr Ayling told Sky News host Rowan Dean.
