Thousands of revellers gathered in Merida, in the eastern state of Yucatan, to witness the ‘March of Souls’ celebration.
The tradition combines elements of Mayan folk traditions with Catholic influences, and is part of a seven-day ‘Festival of Spirits,’ celebrated annually in the state.
