Congress is the United States’s legislature. It is split between the House of Representatives, or the lower house, and the Senate, which is the upper house. In these elections, all 435 seats are up for grabs.
The magic number for a majority in the House is 218. Right now, the Republicans have the edge over the Democrats, with 235 seats*. There are also seven vacancies.
In the Senate, this time, 35 seats are being contested. The Democrats need 51 seats to take control of the Senate. The Republicans only need 50 to retain their hold.
The outcome of the midterm election will influence policies and legislative agenda of the Trump administration.

*Correction (11/6/18): The video says that there are 236 Republicans in the House, which is incorrect. On election day – November 6, 2018 – the Republicans controlled 235 seats, the Democrats controlled 193 and there were seven vacancies.
