Greens Housing Spokesperson Max Chandler-Mather says Labor’s housing bill which is set to be reintroduced in parliament again next week is a “highway” to disaster.
“The government are still refusing to negotiate or budge at all,” he told Sky News Australia.
“I want to be very clear that what we said to the government is spending at most $500 million a year from 2024 -2025 … and not doing anything for renters is not a housing plan, it’s a disaster.
“Now we’re willing to negotiate but a negotiation takes two to tango and the government is saying it’s their way or the highway.”
