The British government has set out its biggest reform of immigration policy for more than 40 years as it prepares for a post-Brexit relationship with the rest of the world.
The cap on the number of skilled immigrants is being scrapped, while unskilled labourers will still be granted temporary visas.
But the government has deferred plans for a controversial salary threshold on skilled immigrants, and overall, the plans have received a mixed reception.
