After shrugging at America’s call for help securing the Red Sea from Yemen’s Ansar Allah or popularly known as Houthis, China, which is also a major stakeholder so far as trade is concerned in the troubled waters, has come up with its own plan to protect its maritime interests. Instead of cobbling up an alliance of multiple countries with diverging interests, Beijing has decided to hand the responsibility to private security companies to protect the crucial Red Sea route which has come under attack by the Houthis, as per a report by the South China Morning Post.
