In the southern Indian city of Mysuru, workers have been producing millions of bottles of ink for the world’s largest election, which starts April 19, 2024. Made from silver nitrate, the ink is the only one authorised to mark voters and prevent duplicate votes. The election features Prime Minister Narendra Modi against a coalition of opposition parties, with surveys predicting a win for Modi’s Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP).
