Sky News US Analyst Michael Ware says Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s war cabinet is “bitterly divided” over how to respond to Iran's air strikes.
Mr Ware joined Sky News Australia to discuss growing tensions in the Middle East.
The aerial bombardment is Tehran’s first-ever direct attack on its neighbour.
“The ultra, ultra hard liners want a massive response and immediately on Iran,” Mr Ware said.
“Whereas others are urging restraint, aligning with the US and other Western allies.”
