Thailand’s Constitutional Court has ordered the dissolution of the largest party in the country’s parliament. Move Forward was disbanded on August 7, 2024, after its leader, Pita Limjaroenrat was found guilty of conspiring against the monarchy. Move Forward won the largest share of votes in the 2023 general elections, but the party was unable to form a government after facing opposition from the country’s conservative political establishment.
