After the centre banned Kashmir based Jamat -E-Islami, houses and offices of dozens of workers of the JEI have been sealed by the authorities today. Orders were issued to seal all the properties relegated to Jamat. Remember, the MHA had earlier declared JEI as an unlawful organisation for five years. The centre had alleged that JEI was in close touch with terrorists and were likely to escalate the secessionist movement in Kashmir. The group has been banned under the stringent UAPA act. Meanwhile Mehbooba Mufti has slammed the move to ban Jammat – E- Islami. The big question remains as even though people are united against terror, why are netas soft on terror?
