On The Newshour Debate With Navika Kumar, The Uttar Pradesh government led by Yogi Adityanath has decided to clear the new draft framed by the government on no anti-national slogan or activity on the campus of all existing and new private universities across the state. The state government had decided to take action against universities if any anti-national activities are allowed by the University.
According to the Uttar Pradesh Private University Ordinance 2019, the existing 27 private universities have been given a year to implement the rules. The ordinance is also looking forward to regulating fee structure, improve quality of education and implement best practices in the universities.
