The Karnataka political crisis is worsening every passing day. The Congress-Janata Dal (Secular) coalition government in Karnataka has plunged into a crisis following the resignations of 14 MLAs so far this month. The first one to resign was Congress MLA Anand Singh, who put in his papers on July 1. Last Saturday, another 12 MLAs of the ruling coalition – nine from the Congress and three from the JD(S) submitted their resignations to the Karnataka Assembly Speaker. Will the speaker accept the resignation of all the MLA’s?
