The Supreme Court on May 2 struck off social activist Harsh Mander’s name from his petition for alleging bias and seeking recusal of CJI Ranjan Gogoi from hearing a plea for release of illegal migrants from Assam jails. Speaking exclusively to Tiranga TV, he said, “…By filing this PIL in the court, I acted according to my conscience and I believe this is my duty for people who won’t be able to say this. The case is not addressing our concerns, in fact it’s making life much harder….”
