Ukraine’s emergency services warned citizens of the likelihood of more Russian attacks on Thursday, with air raid sirens ringing out in Lviv.
Tuesday deadly attacks caused widespread blackouts in Lviv region, Dnipropetrovsk in the southeast and Vinnytsia in the southwest.
Electricity and water rationing is now in place in Lviv after the strikes, and problems with water supply were reported in a number of Ukrainian cities.
Russian missiles and drones struck Ukrainian targets 128 times over three days this week, hitting 28 energy installations, the Ukraine government said. Moscow has denied targeting civilians.
