On Thursday it was announced that WNBA star Brittney Griner was released from her detention in a Russian prison. Her freedom was the result of a one-for-one prisoner swap with Russia in exchange for Viktor Bout, a convicted international arms dealer. Although many Americans are celebrating Griner’s return, others are disappointed that the Biden administration could not also rescue Paul Whelan, a U.S. Marine veteran who remains imprisoned in Russia. FOX News Sunday Host Shannon Bream joins the Rundown to discuss the specifics of the US-Russia prisoner swap, this week’s Supreme Court cases, and the Democrats’ larger Senate majority.
With the holidays fast approaching, the Better Business Bureau is warning holiday shoppers to stay vigilant against online schemes that surge around this season that aim to steal people’s personal information and money. The BBB agency estimates these scams have resulted in hundreds of millions of dollars of theft this year already, but they assure consumers these tricks can be avoided by expressing caution when it comes to too-good-to-be-true deals. Technology expert, Kurt “CyberGuy” Knutsson, joins the Rundown to discuss what popular scams to keep an eye out for this holiday season and how cyber criminals are successfully stealing money via shoppers’ simple online purchases.
