A young, Muslim South African ballet dancer of mixed heritage defied racial segregation and made dance history more than 60 years ago.
Johaar Mosaval was the first person of colour from South Africa to dance for London’s Royal Ballet in 1951.
Now he is being featured in a museum and a new stage production celebrating his life.
