Menzies Research Centre Executive Director Nick Cater says the Chalumbin wind farm will “eat” into the wet sclerophyll forests of Ravenshoe.

“This is really valuable eco-territory,” he told Sky News host Amanda Stoker.

“It’s the buffer between the rainforest to the north, and the dry forest to the south and the east.

“It’s vital, it’s rich in biodiversity.

“It’s … a world heritage area – UNSECO world heritage area when you look at it from the air or from the ridge.”
