Amid mounting concerns over the plan to release treated water from the Fukushima nuclear power plant and how it will affect edible imports from Japan, China has vowed to take “all necessary measures” to ease consumer worries. They include extending a ban on imports from 10 Japanese prefectures, including Fukushima, while also deciding to fully screen all shipments from other regions of the island nation, over concerns about residual nuclear contamination.
