중국, 홍콩보안법 후속 절차 속도 낸다…”이르면 8월 시행”
According to Hong Kong-based South China Morning Post, a controversial new national security bill could take effect as soon as August, as it could be fast-tracked outside the usual six-month process.
As the bill would outlaw conduct that Beijing says constitutes treason, secession, sedition and subversion, there’s growing concerns that Hong Kong’s autonomy will disappear.
China has faced an international backlash over the move.
President Trump is expected to comment on whether the U.S. will maintain Hong Kong’s special trading status.
