Dogs are being trained up for essential military roles in China’s People’s Liberation Army (PLA) Rocket Force. The branch of the PLA controls the nation’s arsenal of land-based ballistic missiles. The dogs were recently put to the test in an intense exam to ensure they can handle everything from searches to salutes in their role as “best friends” to their handlers.
