There was a huge turnout in Beijing for the Chinese release of Avatar: The Way of Water, the sequel to James Cameron’s 2009 blockbuster. The film hit cinemas in the early hours of December 16, amid a growing Covid-19 outbreak. The first Avatar movie was a massive hit with Chinese audiences, and all eyes are now on the sequel’s box office performance.
