Reservation politics has taken the centre stage this election season, particularly in Maharashtra where the college quota has gone above 100% in first-year junior college admissions.
After two additions of quota, the merit list is now at 103%, a situation which seems impossible to implement on the ground.
This has forced the colleges to cut their in-house quota by half as only 7% of seats are left for open category.
