The number of Covid-19 infections in Singapore surged in April 2020, propelled by clusters of cases among migrant workers living in cramped dormitories. The city state has now responded by building temporary housing for migrant workers to try and prevent the coronavirus that causes the disease from spreading in a similar way again.
