World’s biggest carnival of democracy is about to begun. Its the biggest elections on earth with over 900 million voters registered to caste their franchise. The Election Commission on Sunday announced that the polls will be spread over 7 phases, from April 11 to May 19 and counting will be on May 23. The marathon race to Delhi involves around 90 crore voters and of this, 84.3 million are new voters, who will hold the key. As the campaign heats up in the next few days we ask the politicians and experts – Is 2019 a Modi vs All election? Is Balakot airstrike a bigger issue than rural distress and unemployment? Can Amit Shah’s famed organisational skills trump over caste arithmetic? This is what Supriya Shrinate discusses on this India Development Debate.
