Movie legend Tony Leung Chiu-wai wiped away tears as he became the first Chinese actor to be honoured with a prestigious Golden Lion for Lifetime Achievement at the Venice Film Festival. Accepting his award in Italy on September 2, 2023, Leung said it was “a great honour” and “dream come true” as he paid tribute to his home city, Hong Kong, and its film industry.
