A row has broken out after Labour leader Jeremy Corbyn claimed his party had obtained documents that show the NHS has formed part of talks with the United States about a trade agreement after Brexit. Mr Corbyn says the papers are ‘proof’ that the Conservatives would put the NHS at risk. But Prime Minister Boris Johnson said the claims were ‘nonsense’ — and the NHS would not be part of any trade talks.

Meanwhile in Scotland, First Minister Nicola Sturgeon has launched the Scottish National Party’s manifesto. The SNP leader said the party promises to ‘escape Brexit and put Scotland’s future in Scotland’s hands’.
