In an interview with Al Jazeera, political and security analyst Ali Rizk highlighted that Hezbollah’s deputy leader Naim Qassim did not mention the return of Israeli residents to northern Israel, a topic the late Hassan Nasrallah had firmly opposed through war. Rizk suggested this omission, along with Lebanon’s prime minister discussing troop deployment, might indicate Hezbollah’s growing flexibility. He also noted that Israel perceives momentum on its side, making negotiations unlikely without significant losses inflicted by Hezbollah. However, Hezbollah still possesses substantial military capabilities, despite Israeli claims.
