On October 6, 2022, an ex-police officer stormed the Uthai Sawan nursery in northeastern Thailand. The attacker killed 24 children and 12 adults over three hours before taking his own life. A year later, families of the victims of the nursery have received financial aid and counselling, but are still struggling to move on.
