Following the Election Commissions recommendation for the disqualification of 20 AAP MLAs for holding ‘office of profit’, Ravish Kumar asks whether the AAP government is being punished in a way that it doesn’t deserve. Even though there have been such government appointments made by state governments of its own MLAs, they weren’t disqualified as MLAs of the state. 21 AAP MLAs were appointed as Parliamentary Secretaries in March 2015 following which the Congress moved the EC appealing to have them disqualified.
