Watch the celebrations for the 77th anniversary of the Italian Republic. Also known as Festa della Repubblica, June 2 commemorates the day in 1946 when Italians voted in favor of a republic and against the monarchy.
Italian President Sergio Mattarella, in the presence of the highest institutional offices, will lay a wreath at the Memorial Monument of the Unknown Soldier. He will then preside over the traditional Military Parade along the Roman forums.
