While making the announcement, Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal said that the move would empower women to work and study and would encourage public transport as well which is considered to be the safest. He also added that the scheme would cost the government around 700-800 crore rupees. Arvind Kejriwal also mentioned that he did not need the Centre’s approval for the same.
