If you’re gonna be in politics, you gotta have thick skin, right? You can’t wear your emotions on your sleeve. You can’t get overly worked up. You, you can’t be emotional. But by God, sometimes the moment just gets the best of you. And that’s what happened to Lindsay Graham this past week during an appearance on Fox News, where he was of course, begging people to support Republican senate candidate Herschel Walker in the runoff in Georgia. And Lindsey Graham couldn’t help it. And suddenly in the middle of him talking, the waterworks began. Take a look at Lindsey Graham crying while telling people to vote for Herschel Walker. Um, okay, so that happened. Um, I don’t even really know how to respond to that. I mean, to see an elderly gentleman crying on national TV just because he loves Herschel Walker so much, that’s a new one. Uh, that, that is definitely not something I expected to see this year. Um, now we all have, so there it is Lindsay Graham crying on national TV because by God, he just wants Lindsay, he just wants Herschel Walker to win. And oh my God, I can’t even hold that anymore. Uh, here’s the thing. In another clip from the same interview on Fox News, um, Herschel Walker was of course talking about how important it is to have Herschel Walker in the Senate. Um, so Graham said that the big reason, of course, he wants Herschel Walker to win, is so that it will show other young black children in the state of Georgia that it’s okay to be a Republican, which of course gives up the entire Republican game as to why they even want Herschel Walker in the Senate in the first place.
They wanna be able to look over and say, Here’s my black friend. See, we’re friendly with black people in America. We, we have one right here. Of course, they’re forgetting the fact you already have one black Republican senator in the US Senate. I I, I guess he’s old news, right? Nobody cares about him anymore because we got Herschel Walker. So I, I’m not exactly sure the logic there, because if they wanna point out and say like, Look, we’ve got one. You, you, you have one already. Now, I guess if you have two, sure, that makes you look better. But I gotta tell you the real issue here, Lindsay, and you can cry about this all you want, but the real issue is that if you wanna attract voters, you can’t go out there and be like, Well, I have a black friend. You actually have to start in acting real policies that help minority communities across the country.
You have to stop demonizing them. You have to stop cheering on the police officers that murder them in the streets. That would be a start. You know, just throwing that out there as a possibility. You wanna attract non-white people to the Republican party. Maybe you should start legislating four non-white people instead of using them as political props, which is exactly what you’re doing. But I’ve said for a long time now, of course, Herschel Walker, if he makes it to the Senate, would in fact be their useful idiot. He can go out there and say the things that the rest of them don’t want to say. He can say the things that the rest of them cannot say because he is black. That’s the value of Herschel Walker to these people. He’s just another number. He is basically a statistic and a useful idiot for the Republican party. And Herschel Walker can’t even fathom that. That is why he is being used. Because he is being used. That’s what this is. And Lindsay Graham, again, you can cry about it all you want, but the rest of the country outside of Georgia sees exactly what you’re doing and they’re not gonna fall for your little crocodile tears.
