Pope Francis meets with Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas in Vatican to discuss Middle East issues. During the meeting Abbas reportedly told Pope that ‘we are counting on you’, according to Italian news agency ANSA.
Both sides spoke about Jerusalem status and stressed the need to identify the city as holy for three monotheistic religions.
