Ram Vilas Paswan took the oath against the spectacular backdrop of the Rashtrapati Bhavan with thousands gathered in the forecourt and millions watching on their TV screens. He was administered the oath of office and secrecy by President Ram Nath Kovind. Governors, chief ministers of BJP ruled states were present on the occasion. Congress president Rahul Gandhi, UPA chairperson Sonia Gandhi and former Prime Minister Dr Manmohan Singh are also present.
