An elephant calf, which fell into a well in the town of Alur in India’s Karnataka, was rescued on Monday. Footage captured the baby elephant struggling to climb the steep sides of the muddy pit, which had been clogged with silt, after spending the night there. The forest officials, who were informed about the incident in the night, arrived to the scene with an excavator.
