A Sky News reporter was forced off air after she was sworn at in Birmingham. A large crowd had gathered in the Bordesley Green area of the city following rumours that there could be a far-right protest this evening, August 5.
A Sky News reporter was forced to abruptly cut off her live broadcast from Birmingham when a gang of masked men approached.
One man could be seen cycling towards the camera while repeatedly yelling “Free Palestine”. The journalist swiftly apologised and ended the transmission.
During the live segment from Small Heath, an area in Britain’s second-largest city, the reporter was covering a gathering of over 1,000 members of the Muslim community amid rumours that far-right troublemakers were planning attacks on local properties.
Sky News viewers were shocked when a masked protester brutally interrupted a segment.
Becky Johnson was reporting live from Birmingham as the individual cycled up to the camera to yell: “free Palestine, f*** EDL”, leaving her lost for words.
She first said: “We know that Muslim community leaders have been speaking to the police as well”, as far-right protests continue to wreak havoc throughout the nation, forcing the police to respond to violent scenes in Rotherham, Middlesbrough, Bolton and other parts of the UK throughout Sunday, August 4.
More riots are feared this evening, as the UK has been rocked by a wave of violence over the past week.

A Sky News journalist reporting from Birmingham was forced to end her live link with the studio as a group of people with their faces covered approached her and the camera.
One of the men cycled up on a bike, shouting “Free Palestine” multiple times, which prompted the reporter to apologise and announce she would end the live broadcast on Monday (August 5).
Sky News reporter Becky Johnson was speaking from the Small Heath neighbourhood of Britain’s second-largest city, where Sky reports more than 1,000 members of the Muslim community had gathered amid reports far-Right thugs were planning to target properties.
As she was speaking, the masked man swore, forcing the reporter to apologise for his language, telling viewers it gave a sense of the anger being felt by some among the group.
Sky News anchor Mark Austin apologised after the live feed was cut, telling viewers there would be security alongside his Sky colleague, suggesting she would have been safe.
