Victoria Premier Daniel Andrews has announced his resignation which will be effective from 5pm tomorrow.
Mr Andrews made the major announcement on Tuesday afternoon.
“When it’s time, it’s time,” Mr Andrews said during the media conference.
“It’s not an easy job being premier of our state … it requires 100 per cent from you and your family.
“Now is the time to step away.”
