U.S. politicians warn any Democrats candidate too far to the left could face the same defeat as the UK’s opposition Labour leader, Jeremy Corbyn.
The style of the UK’s Prime Minister Boris Johnson is frequently compared to that of U.S. President Donald Trump.
And now that Johnson has won a resounding victory in the UK’s general election – U.S. politicians are paying close attention to what happened.
And it’s the Democrats who’re mostly concerned.
Presidential candidate Joe Biden blames the liberal platform of Johnson’s main opponent, Jeremy Corbyn for Labour’s defeat.
And he’s warning his party against moving far too the left ahead of the 2020 presidential elections.
He and others argue Britain’s election result should serve as a wake up call for their party.
But is this really true?
