WHITE House press secretary Kayleigh McEnany has defended President Trump for promoting a conspiracy theory that the 75-year-old protester shoved to the ground by the Buffalo police is an “antifa provocateur”.

Trump had highlighted a segment from the right-wing cable network One America News Network (OANN), suggesting that Martin Gugino, a peaceful protester, was trying to attack police.

Trump accused Gugino of faking his assault on Tuesday morning, days after video footage showed two riot cops shoving the 75-year-old during an anti-racism protest last week in New York.
