Amazon workers in the UK and elsewhere in Europe used “Black Friday”, the busiest shopping day of the year, to protest against the mega-company Amazon.
A UK union has described the working conditions inside Amazon’s distribution centres as “frankly inhuman” and said that workers were treated like robots without even time to use the toilet.
The GMB union also said that ambulances had been called 600 times to Amazon’s 14 warehouses in the past three fiscal years. Amazon has told Al Jazeera that their working sites are safe and have fewer accidents on average than similar companies.
