The UK is looking to push for trade deals at this year’s meeting of Commonwealth leaders, as it prepares to leave the European Union.
But a scandal surrounding the treatment of immigrants from the Caribbean has overshadowed the event.
There has been both public and political outrage over the treatment of Caribbean-origin residents of the UK, who were wrongfully threatened with deportation.
