Zimbabwe’s tobacco selling season has begun. The number of tobacco farmers has steadily increased over the years. Zimbabwe produced and sold nearly 200 million kilogrammes of tobacco last year worth nearly $600m. Tobacco is the country’s second-biggest export earner.
But there are complaints some of the farms seized during land reforms are not being fully utilised, hindering production.
