Nearly 200 countries have agreed to a rule book aimed at making good on the Paris climate agreement struck three years ago.
Some critics say the framework lacks ambition and will not protect those most at risk from the effects of climate change.
It took two weeks of contentious negotiations in Poland to get to this point.
